Would you like to celebrate a special moment in a unique and special location, or wish someone a happy birthday with a unique gift? A private Planetarium session provides a unique experience for couples or small groups that can be tailored to the celebration, including the option of special projections on the dome-shaped ceiling. You can also include one of our fantastic fulldome movies to customise your experience.
Important notes
- Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the session commencing.
- Parking is free after 6pm weekdays and on weekends.
- No food or drink to be consumed in the Planetarium.
- Use of moblile phones, electronic devices and photography are prohibited inside the Planetarium.
- Prams are not permitted inside the Planetarium.
- COVID-19 - while face masks are no longer mandatory, we do recommend masks are worn as extra protection while inside the Planetarium where visitors are unable to physically distance.
- Please note the Planetarium is not suitable for children under 4 years old. If you do bring younger children, we request that those who become restless and noisy please exit the Planetarium with their guardian as a courtesy to other patrons.

Are you looking to celebrate a special birthday at an unforgettable location? Experience your own private Planetarium session and celebrate your birthday under the stars.
*Please note, there is a room next door to the Planetarium that can be used for your party (subject to availability)*charges apply. Mawson Lakes campus contains plenty of grass areas, that you may like to use for picnics or cakes. There are also local playgrounds nearby, such as Mobara Park, which have toilet and barbecue facilities.
