Blending the worlds of fun and education, the Planetarium’s flexible school sessions assist in covering the Australian Curriculum, with experiences suitable for primary, middle and high school classes. Topics covered by our experienced astronomers are guided by the SACSA Framework Strand called Earth and Space for the Standard of each year. This includes understanding the basic motions of the sun, earth and moon and their effect on everyday life; components of the solar system; and understanding the universe and the nature of space exploration.

We also include a full-dome movie as part of the school session.

General sessions run for approx 50-60mins, however, extended sessions can be arranged.

School sessions run from 10.00am for approximately 50 minutes. Extended sessions may be arranged for an extra charge – please contact the Planetarium.

"Can you pass on a huge thank you to Martin for his outstanding presentation last week. I've had lots of positive feedback from kids and parents about the show. They particularly loved his quite teaching manner as opposed to lecturers who just dazzle us with facts. How lucky are we to have such a wonderful resource and talented person."
