We will take you on a captivating journey across the universe. Join one of our highly experienced astronomers as they guide you through constellations, the solar system and beyond. Marvel at the immense scale of the universe and observe the breathtaking beauty of the night skies projected on the Planetarium's iconic dome ceiling from the comfort of your seat.

The Planetarium is open at scheduled session times on the first and third Saturday of each month - 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 7.30pm* (*only on the first Saturday of the month).

Our 90min What's in the Sky this Month includes telescope viewing *weather permitting.

*We accept Companion Cards. Please call or email us if you are planning to use a Companion Card, so we can reserve a seat.

Important notes

  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to the session start time to register and be seated comfortably before the session begins.
  • For safety reasons, entry after the session has begun and re-entry are not permitted. 
  • Children aged 3 years and under may attend free of charge, provided they are seated on their carer's lap and do not occupy a separate seat. *this applies to sessions specifically aimed for children up to 8 years of age only. 
  • ALL patrons occupying their own seat, including children aged 3 years and under, are required to purchase a ticket.
  • Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult to be admitted into the Planetarium.
  • If you are attending with a companion card, please contact the Planetarium via phone or email before booking to ensure seat availability.
  • PARKING – if you are parking in the ML6 car park or along University Blvd, please ensure you pay for your parking upon arrival. A parking meter is located at the front of the MM Bldg (white bldg next to the Planetarium).
  • NO food and drink is permitted inside the Planetarium.
  • The use of mobile phones, electronic devices and photography is prohibited inside the Planetarium.
  • Prams are not permitted in the Planetarium
  • Please note: The Planetarium is not suitable for children under 4 years of age. If you do bring younger children, we kindly ask that you seat yourself closer to the door. As a courtesy to other patrons, if your child becomes restless or noisy during the session, we ask that you please exit the Planetarium. We have a foyer area for carers attending with younger siblings.
  • EVENING SESSIONS - Important Age Restrictions. Please be aware that children (including infants) who do not meet the minimum age requirement will not be admitted into the Planetarium.
