Our FREE five-day Winter School Short Course on AI for XR provides a hands-on introduction to how AI can be used to enhance XR research, design, and development.
Over the last few years there has been a rapid convergence of AI and XR. Many people now view XR as providing the ideal interface for AI systems, enabling smart seamless integration with real and virtual worlds. Thus there is a need for XR researchers to have some understanding of AI to be able to be as productive as possible.
This short course is designed to give a background in some of the fundamentals of AI, and show how they can be integrated with XR systems and research practice. No prior knowledge in AI or XR, and no technical programming ability is required.
Informative Lectures combined with Hands-on Group Work
Together with the Australian Research Centre for Interactive and Virtual Environment's team of world leaders in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), the Winter School is proud to present an experienced team of experts and special guests including:

Schedule and Logistics
The Winter School is full-time, 8 hours/day. Attendees will begin each day with lectures and instructions, followed by hands-on group project work. Attendees are expected to attend in person for face to face instruction.
