Financial Support
The UniSA Department of Rural Health can provide the following financial support to domestic allied health and nursing students undertaking a rural placement in South Australia for a period of two (2) weeks or greater.
Accommodation* and travel support** payments are in line with the RA code of the placement town.
RA2 Inner Regional | = | $100 |
RA3 Outer Regional | = | $150 |
RA4 Remote | = | $200 |
RA5 Very Remote | = | $250 |

For placements of eight (8) consecutive weeks or longer, students can apply for a Placement Support Payment.
Support for alternative accommodation is also available depending on the situation.
UniSA domestic students can apply for a placement grant via the UniSA scholarships page. This grant is available for placements of greater than four (4) weeks and is separate from the DRH.
