Ms Erika Vickery OAM has been Mayor of Naracoorte-Lucindale Council since 2010. She is also the President of the Limestone Coast Local Government Association which is the regional subsidiary of the seven councils in the Limestone Coast. She is Chairman of SAROC (South Australian Regional Organisation of Councils) and a Board Member of Local Government Association SA, Regional Development Australia Limestone Coast and Country Arts SA.

Ms Vickery was born in Austria and migrated to Australia with her family, settling in Naracoorte over 50 years ago. She has always been very community minded and has contributed to areas of local government, community, music, art and sport.

She has been the conductor/ musical director of the community choir, the Naracoorte Singers, since 1991 and was given life membership in 2007. She was choir teacher for Naracoorte Primary, Naracoorte South Primary and Lucindale Area Schools for about 30 years and received life membership of the South East Primary Schools Music Festival in 2008. She is a patron of the Limestone Coast Symphony Orchestra Inc and was a committee member of Limestone Coast Opera.

Ms Vickery has been involved with sport for many years and received Life Membership of the Kowree Naracoorte Netball Association, the Naracoorte Football and Netball Club and was awarded service medals from the Royal Life Saving Society SA. In 2014. She has received an Australia Day Citizenship Award, a Paul Harris Fellowship Rotary International Award, Melvin Jones Fellowship Lions International Award and was awarded an Order of the Medal of Australia in 2017 for service to local government and to the community of Naracoorte.
