Chairman Re-Engineering Australia Foundation Ltd & Managing Director ENVIZAGE

Dr Michael Myers is an engineer and entrepreneur who has been involved in implementing high-end engineering technology to the automotive, aerospace, defence and manufacturing industries across the Asia-Pacific region for the past 30 years. He is currently chairman of Re-Engineering Australia Foundation Ltd and Managing Director of ENVIZAGE.

Projects he has been involved with range from helping the Australian Craniofacial Unit at Adelaide's Women's and Children's Hospital deliver its life-changing work, through to helping design the interior of General Motors-Holden's iconic Monaro and the Boeing Company's 787 Dreamliner.

In 1998, Dr Myers founded the Re-Engineering Australia Foundation with the aim of encouraging younger Australians to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Since its inception, Re-Engineering Australia has mentored more than 500,000 students.

Dr Myers has also served as a member of numerous government advisory panels, including the Advanced Manufacturing Action Agenda and the Ministerial Advisory Committee on Maths and Science to the Minister of Education in Victoria, and is currently working with the Business Working with Education Foundation for the Victorian Government.

In 2012, Dr Myers was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in the Australia Day Honours, and in the same year he completed his Doctorate of Business Administration at the University of South Australia.
