Order a replacement parchment

If your parchment has been lost, destroyed or damaged, you can request a replacement.

If your original parchment has been lost the application must be accompanied by a Statutory Declaration signed by a Justice of the Peace.

If your original parchment has been damaged, the damaged parchment must be surrendered to UniSA before the replacement parchment can be issued. 

A digital copy will also be available via My eQuals when a paper document is ordered for awards conferred prior to 1 January 2018.

The fee for a replacement parchment is $75, which includes domestic or international postage if requested.

Please note that a replacement parchment will not be identical to the original:

  • Pre-1991 parchments will not be issued in the name of the original awarding institution.
  • Replacement parchments issued for dual badged awards will be issued with the University of South Australia logo and seal only. If a graduate requests the replacement parchment be issued with the original dual badging this will incur additional cost, and may extend beyond the normal re-issue timeframe.
  • The replacement parchment will declare that it is a replacement and will have a replacement date.

Having your parchment posted

If you choose not to attend your graduation ceremony, the University can post your parchment to you. The costs for postage and packaging are:

  • $10.00 for registered mail within Australia
  • $35.00 for DHL Courier overseas

If you wish to have your parchment posted go to myGraduation and select the mail within Australia or courier overseas option in myPreferences. An invoice will be sent to your student account at  myFinances

Please note that you cannot use a post office box address outside of Australia.

Do not apply for postage if one of the following applies to you:

  • You have not graduated from a program at UniSA.
  • You are about to graduate and have selected via myGraduation to have your parchment posted to you. An invoice for the postage fee will be issue to you via myFinances.
  • You have received your parchment at your graduation ceremony. If you have lost your original parchment you can apply for a replacement by completing the application available when you select the order here button.

Order copies of your Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS)

The AHEGS is the result of a Commonwealth Government initiative that aims to make Australian qualifications recognised throughout the world and is available to graduates who were conferred in an award on or after 20 December 2010.

Paper copies and/or a digital copy of your AHEGS may be purchased . Photo ID must be uploaded with your application.

A digital copy will also be available via My eQuals when a paper document is ordered.

Do not apply for AHEGS if you have not graduated from a program at UniSA.

Fees:

  • $25 for a digital AHEGS via My eQuals
  • $50 for one paper AHEGS plus $10 for each additional copy when ordered at the same time.
  • $35 when a digital AHEGS and academic transcript are ordered at the same time.
  • $60 for one paper AHEGS and one paper academic transcript when ordered at the same time.

An email from My eQuals will advise when a document is available and will provide login/Sign in details to access your document. There is no expiry for UniSA documents held in My eQuals.

You will be contacted when your paper AHEGS is ready for collection. Documents will only be held for 2 months, after which time they will be destroyed. You will need to re-apply and pay the required fee for another copy.

Important: if your student record is in bad financial standing an AHEGS will not be issued until your overdue fees and charges have been paid in full.

Order copies of your academic transcript

Paper copies and/or a digital copy of your academic transcript (including all courses) may be purchased.  Photo ID must be uploaded with the application.

Include a contact name and faculty/department for transcripts being sent to other tertiary institutions.

A digital copy will also be available via My eQuals when a paper document is ordered.

Do not order an academic transcript/Australian Higher Education Graduation Statement (AHEGS) if one of the following applies to you:

  • You are awaiting grade release. Your academic transcript will reflect your academic record at the time it is issued. If you apply for a transcript before your grades are released the grades will not appear on the transcript.
  • You graduated from January 2018 as your academic transcript, AHEGS and parchment are available via My eQuals unless:

    • you require a printed academic transcript
    • to update your academic transcript to include additional study
  • You are about to complete your program. Upon completion a digital academic transcript will be issued for you at no cost.
  • You are about to graduate. A digital parchment, academic transcript & AHEGS will be issued for you at no cost.
  • Do not apply for AHEGS if you have not graduated from a program at UniSA. AHEGS are only available to those who have graduated from a UniSA program since December 2010.

Fees:

  • $25 for a digital academic transcript via My eQuals

  • $35 when a digital AHEGS and academic transcript are ordered at the same time.

Please allow up to four working days for your transcript to be issued, except for pre-1991 records, which may take up to three weeks.

Collecting your transcript

If you elect to collect your paper transcript you will be contacted when it is ready for collection. Documents will only be held for 2 months, after which time they will be destroyed. You will need to re-apply and pay the required fee for another copy.

Photo identification is required when collecting your transcript. If someone else is collecting your transcript a signed letter of authority must be provided, and they must also bring photo identification with them.
