The 2017 Hawke EU Centre Ambassadorial Scholarship has been awarded to Seamus Brand, fourth year Law/International Relations student at the University of South Australia.

As recipient of the scholarship, Seamus will travel to Germany and Belgium to attend "A Continent in Troubled Times - EU's Perspectives in a Changing World 2017". Combining central aspects of European Integration with special policy fields, the 10-day summer school will analyse the European Union, give insights to the functioning of the European institutions and its politics, and discuss multiple perspectives on European Integration by offering lectures and workshops as well as field trips to different European Institutions.

During his stay in Germany, Seamus will document his experiences via social media and provide a daily ‘vlog’ made available on the Hawke EU Centre website.
