It is a critical moment for the relationship between France and Australia. The $50 billion Australian submarine contract, awarded to French firm, Naval Group, is forming the basis for increased economic and cultural exchange and engagement between these two countries. France and Australia have also found themselves to be ever more important allies in a volatile global political context.
