Following Professor Mohamad Abdalla, Director; Centre for Islamic Thought and Education, and Professor Stephen Dobson’s, Dean School of Education UniSA, visit to Qatar University in early February 2018,  Dr Ahmed Al-Emadi, Dean College of Education and Dr Abdullah Abu-Tineh, Director: National Center for Educational Development, visited School of Education and CITE, UniSA  from 7 – 11 May 2018.  The week was filled with meetings with various research areas; including school leadership, education leadership, early childhood educators, design and technology, arts educators, sports educators, Samsung Smart School, and the Centre for Islamic Thought and Education.The meetings were very successful in building relationships and networking to start research collaborations with the two universities.On May 8 2018 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the University of South Australia and Qatar University for research collaborations, student and staff exchanges in various key areas.
