“My experience at UniSA and in Adelaide contains so many memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Meeting so many great people, who came to be some of my best friends, while being able to experience Australia and travel around is for sure the best thing.”

Did the UniSA Buddies Program make it easier for you to make friends and/or to get involved in the UniSA community?

The UniSA Buddies Program was such a great program. I got to meet so many people. When I moved to Adelaide, I didn't know anybody. Being able to attend so many events and trips such as camping at Deep Creek, the visit to Cleland Wildlife park and a hike to Morialta Conservation park, I was able to make so many friends before my studies got serious.

What did you think of the campus facilities? Did you have a favourite spot on campus?

The campus facilities were so spacious, modern and they have a lot of natural light. My favourite spot on campus is the library where I have spent time studying while looking out over Adelaide from the huge windows on the 6th floor. Being able to study with friends in the library has made my learning journey more fun, and having food and coffee places just around the corner is super convenient for when you need a break.

If you were to describe life in Adelaide to someone who hasn’t been here before, what would you say?

Life in Adelaide can be anything you want. For me personally, I love that everything is within walking distance in the CBD. You can find cute stores, restaurants and coffee places so close by. If I want to exercise, the river is just around the corner where there are running and walking tracks. When the sun comes out, it is just a short bus/tram ride to Henley or Glenelg beach. There are so many opportunities to experience the 'Aussie' lifestyle and see places you have never seen before.

What has been the best experience so far? Are there any strong memories you'll take home with you?

My experience at UniSA and in Adelaide contains so many memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life. Meeting so many great people, who came to be some of my best friends from all around the world while being able to experience Australia and travel around at the same time, is for sure the best thing. I love how multicultural Adelaide is and I haven't just gotten to experience the 'Aussie' lifestyle and learned new qualities at UniSA, but I’ve also learned about other countries and cultures.
