Margaret Ambridge is an Adelaide based artist whose major themes revolve around her intensely personal reactions
to how we deal with boundaries and adversity. Working primarily with charcoal Margaret has been a finalist in many
major Australian Art prizes including the Waterhouse and the Kedumba Drawing Award.

The process of dying affects everyone near it. The visceral emotions of patients and their families are often apparent for all to see.

In her view: "as health care professionals we too respond emotionally, how could we not, but the conversations, the shared grieving is not so frequent. Flowers that enter hospice travel parallel paths and provide a metaphor for those to whom they belong. Comprising works on paper, installation and video this eloquent new exhibition offers us an opportunity to share our experiences and stories and to reflect on our own journey through life."

‘til death is Margaret’s response to working in palliative care and participating in the unfolding cycle every day.

Margaret is both a practicing physiotherapist and a nationally exhibited artist. She has worked in Palliative Care, Aged Care and Chronic Pain Management for the last 25 years.

The artist will be in the gallery from 3pm−7pm, Thursday 7 September to talk about her artwork.
