Dr Justin Cohen

Dr Justin Cohen
Senior Research Fellow in Marketing

Dr Justin Cohen is a Senior Research Fellow in Marketing and an industry engagement researcher at the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science at the University of South Australia.

Justin is a key note speaker at industry conferences around the world – Justin’s expertise is in route-to-market decision making, emerging markets (in particular China), retailing, online advertising, and wine & food marketing. He has international experience both as a practitioner and researcher which helps him to provide transformational, evidence-based strategies for clients.

Justin holds a PhD in Business (Marketing) and a Master of Business Administration (International Hotel & Restaurant Management) from the University of South Australia, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Emory University.

Professor Andrew Beer
Executive Dean of UniSA Business
Former Dean of Research and Innovation

Prior to commencing with UniSA, Andrew worked at The University of Adelaide and Flinders University. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Adelaide and a PhD from the Australian National University.

His research interests include Australia’s housing market operations, the drivers of regional growth, structural change within the economy, and the impacts of an ageing population. He is currently undertaking research in four major areas: the outcomes of the closure of the Australian automotive industry; the cross-national analysis of the leadership of places; the quality and condition of Australia's housing stock; and the use of services and housing by Australia's ageing population.

Currently, Andrew is collaborating with Professor Markku Sotarauta of Tampere University in Finland, as a joint editor on the Handbook of City and Regional Leadership. He is also in the process of completing a Policy Expo for the Regional Studies Association on place-based policy.
