Advancing Equity through Collaborations with Children and Youth: Lessons from work in the UK’s North East

Professor Liz Todd’s important work has implications for South Australian schools, education systems, children’s services, and youth organisations.  It connects with valued agendas of child and youth citizenship, partnerships for change, and social inclusion.

Professor Todd will be giving a public lecture followed by Q and A at the University of South Australia. A zoom link will be provided for those who wish to join remotely.

Liz Todd is Professor of Educational Inclusion Director of the Institute for Social Science at Newcastle University.  Committed to a strong social justice agenda, she is known for her work on the interaction between communities and schools, the engagement of children and youth in research, and democratic approaches to change.  She heads the VOICES Project, partnering with Children North East, an alliance of child and youth advocacy groups and also lead the Cost of School Day evaluation, for the Child Poverty Action Group.
