Acknowledging Our Outstanding Staff

UniSA's Unstoppable Awards Research and Enterprise Stream celebrates our research achievements and recognises our colleagues who demonstrate UniSA's Core Attributes.

There are four categories in the 2025 Unstoppable Awards Research and Enterprise Stream:

Research and Enterprise Excellence Category

• Higher Degree Researcher (two separate awards as below)
  • PhD Researcher
  • Masters of Research
• Early-Career Researcher
• Mid-Career Researcher
• Senior-Career Researcher
• Research Degree Supervisor of the Year

Professional Excellence Category

• Up to HEO Level 7
• HEO Level 8 and above

Team Award Category

• One Team Award (may comprise professional staff, researchers, or both)

Research Ethics and Safety Innovation Awards

• The aim is to encourage, recognise and celebrate innovation that has a positive or enabling impact on ethical and safe conduct in UniSA research.
• In addition to technical expertise and innovation, the Innovation Awards also encapsulate how the UniSA Core Attributes are demonstrated in the development and implementation of the innovation or enhancement.

Nomination and Selection Process

Academic Units are invited to nominate one entry for each award via their Dean of Research. Central Units are invited to nominate one entry for each professional award and the team awards via their Unit Director.  

Nominations must be lodged via the online form, which will be available once nominations open.

Nominations must outline why the candidate meets the criteria for the award:

• Research and or Enterprise achievement / contribution (50%)
• Demonstration of UniSA core attributes (50%)    

Key dates for 2025

• Nominations open 4 August
• Nominations close 12 September
• Nominations announced via staff announcements 3 November
• Winners announced during a celebration event on 20 November
