The Hawke EU Centre at the University of South Australia (UniSA), established by a grant from the European Commission in 2014, is dedicated to the development of education, research and outreach programs aimed at promoting a deeper understanding of European Union integration, and especially EU-Australia relations.

The Hawke EU Centre specially aims to: (1) promote EU-Australia relations through public diplomacy initiatives, including novel public forums advancing EU integration studies; (2) conduct EU interdisciplinary research, sponsoring Division and graduate research on Europe and nurtured early career researchers; and (3) support education initiatives in European thought and methodologies across UniSA.

The Hawke EU Centre is a research centre based within the portfolio of the Deputy Vice Chancellor and Vice President: External Relations and Strategic Projects.
