Systems up or down

UniSA Alumni

Congratulations on completing your undergraduate or postgraduate studies with the University of South Australia!

Now that you have completed your studies, your access to UniSA systems will change. Please read each section below carefully regarding how your access will differ from when you were studying with us:

You will only be able to access the Student Portal, or any information located within (e.g., course sites and materials etc), for 180 days after your Degree Conferred/Completion date (this is different to your graduation ceremony date and is always prior) is entered in the system.
NOTE: Unfortunately, there is no way the IT Help Desk can prevent this from happening. The only way to stop the automated process is to become active in a new program.

We strongly recommend you download any information you wish to retain from here prior to losing access (e.g., Transcript, Invoices, course material and assignments you submitted, etc).

If you can no longer access the student portal and need a copy of transcript or invoices, we recommend you contact Campus Central.
NOTE: Unfortunately, the IT Help Desk cannot assist with this.

With regards to obtaining copies of course material and/or assignment submissions you could try contacting your course coordinator of the time who may be able to assist. Please note that courses that are more than four years old will have been archived and no information will be available.
NOTE: Unfortunately, the IT Help Desk cannot assist with this.

If you completed a Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate from UniSA after the 1 Jan 2010 you will retain access to your student email for life.

Your email can now only be accessed through the direct Microsoft page.

You can also redirect your student email to a personal address if you choose.

As of July 2019, Alumni mailboxes have a 50GB limit. This cannot be increased.

If you graduated prior to 2010 or studied a short course/program or through OUA/Celusa/SAIBT unfortunately you will no longer have access to your email.
NOTE: Unfortunately, there is nothing the IT Help Desk can do to assist with this or prevent this from happening.

You are only able to change your password for your email either through the Change Password page or calling the IT Help Desk on (08) 8302 5000.

Your Office 365 licensing through UniSA will expire after you graduate – an email will be sent to you specifying when your access will be removed.
NOTE: Office 365 is Word, Excel, OneDrive etc and is not related to your email. Unfortunately, there is nothing the IT Help Desk can do to assist with this or prevent this from happening. If you have any data in OneDrive, you need to ensure to download this prior to losing access. Once access is lost there is no way for the IT Help Desk to retrieve this for you.

Adobe Creative Cloud licensing (including file access) you had while studying through UniSA will expire after you graduate.
NOTE: Unfortunately, there is nothing the IT Help Desk can do to assist with this or prevent this from happening. If you have any data in OneDrive, you need to ensure to download this prior to losing access. Once access is lost there is no way for the IT Help Desk to retrieve this for you.

You are only able to change your password for your email either through the Change Password page or calling the IT Help Desk on (08) 8302 5000.

Printer, Scanner & Copier access will be immediately lost after your Degree Conferred date (this is different to your graduation date and is always prior to graduation) is entered in the system.
NOTE: If you have completed all of your courses the IT Help Desk strongly advises against topping up your print quota because any unused quota will be lost when Degree Conferred date is entered and is not refundable!
NOTE: Unfortunately there is nothing the IT Help Desk can do to assist with this or prevent this from happening.

UniSA owned PC and Laptop use/access will be immediately lost after your Degree Conferred date (this is different to your graduation date and is always prior to graduation) is entered in the system.
NOTE: Unfortunately, there is nothing the IT Help Desk can do to assist with this or prevent this from happening.

UniSA WiFi and eduroam access will be immediately lost after your Degree Conferred date (this is different to your graduation date and is always prior to graduation) is entered in the system.
NOTE: Unfortunately, there is nothing the IT Help Desk can do to assist with this or prevent this from happening.

Any specialised offices/buildings or afterhours access you had while studying will be removed instantly! Upon your completion date being entered.
NOTE: Unfortunately, there is nothing the IT Help Desk can do to assist with this or prevent this from happening.

Alumni will retain access to their ePortfolios after they graduate from a University of South Australia degree.

Your ePortfolio can now only be accessed directly through the ePortfolio page.

UniSA has a large Alumni Network and other useful information after your graduation.
