Are you a current university student aged between 18 and 35?

We are seeking participants for a study investigating the effects of walnuts on general well-being and mood related factors in a sample of university students.

We would like to hear from you if you are:

  • A healthy male or female aged 18-35 years
  • Proficient in the English language (able to understand and answer questionnaires)

What’s involved?

The study runs over the duration of the study period 5 2020 (16 weeks) and you will be allocated to either a dietary intervention group which will require you to consume a small serving of walnuts (provided) daily for the duration of the study OR you will be allocated to a control group which will require you to limit your consumption of tree nuts for the same period. Participants in the control group will receive complimentary walnuts upon completion of the study.

The following will be required of all participants:

  • 3 x 45-60min visits to complete a series of questionnaires related to mood and general wellbeing, and to provide a small blood and saliva sample;
  • Provide 3 x faecal samples throughout the study (collected at home with a collection kit provided).

On completion of your final visit, you will be reimbursed with $200.
