Cognitive Training Effects on Performance and Brain Activity

Researchers at the University of South Australia (UniSA) invite healthy adults with no prior formal experience in cognitive training to participate in a study that aims to evaluate performance and brain function changes from cognitive training.

Eligibility:

  • We are seeking healthy right-handed adults aged 18 - 35 years
  • English must be your first language

What is involved:

Participation involves attending six (6) laboratory sessions across two (2) weeks, each 30 minutes to 1.5 hours long.  In these sessions, you will be completing questionnaires, cognitive tasks and performing a virtual reality video game.  Along with these, you will be completing a cognitive training intervention.  Non-invasive measurement of brain activity will be conducted with electroencephalography (EEG).

Participant honorarium:

To compensate for travel and parking associated with attending the laboratory sessions, participants who complete all six sessions will receive a $100 participant honorarium.

If you are interested in participating, please email:  unisa.researchvolunteers@unisa.edu.au or phone (08) 8302 1365
