UniSA’s Centre for Islamic Thought and Education (CITE), have got on board as part of the steering committee for the project.

As part of the program sessions are delivered by current and past Port Adelaide Football Club players conducted over a three-week period focusing on topics around identity, exploring culture and identifying personal strengths to build resilience.

Participating schools were invited to attend the Power Intercultural Gala Day held on Friday, July 28 at Alberton Oval, the home of the Port Adelaide Football Club. Prof Mohamad Abdalla and Dylan Chown were present at the launch on the Gala Day.

The theme of the day was to celebrate multiculturalism and acknowledge the participation of the students involved in the program. As part of the day, each school was involved in a number of activities including a 9 -a- side football competition, skills and fitness testing, careers exhibition and hip-hop dance lesson.
