UniSA Global Projects

Passionate about sustainable development goals and want to make a real-world impact? Consider participating in a UniSA Global Project in 2022. You’ll get to work in multi-disciplinary teams, with students across Australia, on real-world industry projects designed to make a positive social impact. You’ll also discover the culture and society of your chosen host country and region.

All projects are supported by the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, with New Colombo Plan (NCP) funding available to cover costs for eligible students.

Global projects can be undertaken in-country or virtually depending on availability.

You’ll get the opportunity to expand your global network, develop your international perspective and demonstrate these skills to potential employers. As well as learning how your professional skills can make a difference around the world.

With Program Director approval, successful completion can also count towards an Elective course in your degree. Meaning you can also get ahead in your studies!

WHAT ARE THE PROJECT OPTIONS?

There are three program options, so you can choose the one that best aligns with your area of interest and expertise. Duration for each project varies from between 2 to 12 weeks depending on delivery mode.

Have a look at the below options to learn more about each program.

What are the international experience options?

If the above experiences don’t appeal to you, you may want to consider other experiences such as virtual exchange or other in-country short term programs

Who's eligible?

  • You must meet our standard mobility eligibility criteria.
  • You’ll need Program Director approval to receive credit or industry experience hours (we’ll help you with the approval process, but you need to have room in your program).
  • There are additional requirements for the NCP funding - you must be studying an Undergraduate program, be an Australian citizen, and under 28 years of age. If you don’t meet these requirements, please get in touch as there are other funding options available.
  • Places are limited. In the case of excess demand places will be allocated on academic merit.

How much does it cost?

Virtual programs are FREE for eligible students via the Australian Government’s NCP.

In-country programs have varied costs, however generous NCP funding is available to contribute to travel and program costs.

If you are ineligible for NCP funding, or funded places are exhausted, you can still participate. Costs vary so please contact us for details.
