Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has topped the rankings for young universities for the fifth straight year. NTU has retained its spot at number 1 in the 2020 QS World Ranking for top 50 universities under 50 years old; ranked for performance of universities focused on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  
 
NTU offers courses in engineering, science, business, humanities, medicine, arts and social sciences, with the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine being a jointly directed school between NTU. With an excellent network of top overseas universities and industry leaders, NTU’s academic and research partners include Imperial College London, Rolls-Royce, BMW, Lockheed Martin and more. 
 
The main campus has been named one of the Top 15 Most Beautiful in the World. NTU's main 200-hectare garden campus houses Singapore's largest on-campus residence infrastructure including 24 halls of residence for undergraduates and a graduate hall at the Youth Olympic Village of the inaugural Youth Olympic Games in August 2010.  
 
Besides the Yunnan Garden campus, NTU has another campus, NTU@one-north, located next to the Biopolis, Singapore's biomedical research hub, and Fusionopolis, a new epicentre of engineering and physical sciences. With its strategic location, NTU has set up a graduate school at the one-north campus. The graduate school will better synergise the university with the considerable national resources invested in the Biopolis and Fusionopolis, and facilitate collaboration with other institutions and agencies in the one-north region. 
 
There are four student activities hubs on campus that cater to the various social and recreational needs of students.

Singapore, officially the Republic of Singapore, is a sovereign island city-state in Southeast Asia. The country is located one degree north of the Equator, at the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. Singapore's territory consists of one main island along with many smaller islets.

Singapore's population is very high for such a small area, with 5.6 million people at a population density of 7,778 people per square kilometre. This means that Singapore ranks number 2 for population density worldwide. As a city-state, Singapore has no major cities or cities at all. Instead, Singapore is organised into towns, which are all connected, and the country is its own capital.

Despite its small land size, Singapore has massive influence on the global economy, and is the only country in Asia with a AAA sovereign rating from all major rating agencies. Singapore is a highly developed country, ranked 9th on the UN Human Development Index, and has the 7th highest GDP per capita in the world. Singapore places highly in key social indicators such as education, healthcare, quality of life, personal safety and housing. Singaporeans enjoy one of the world's longest life expectancy and one of the lowest infant mortality rates.

Such a densely populated and influential country makes for a one of a kind exchange experience. There are indoor action sports facilities such as skydiving, as well as outdoor theme parks and a night safari as well. If you're one for shopping, you will find everything from high end designer labels or go bargain hunting in local thrift shops.

Although Singapore is a dense and buzzing city, it's often described as a City in a Garden. The landscape is populated with parks and sanctuaries, and Singapore is home to the UNESCO World Heritage Botanic Gardens. Foodies should not pass up Singapore, which is home to many Michelin-starred restaurants (including the world's most affordable one!) and famous food stall centres. Singapore is also a great base from which to travel to other Southeast Asian countries.

Nearly half of Singapore’s land area is under green cover. It’s one of the world’s greenest cities. The icon of Singapore is a mythical half fish – half lion creature called the Merlion. The fish body represents Singapore's origin as a fishing village when it was called Temasek, which means "sea town" in Javanese. The lion head represents Singapore's original name—Singapura—meaning "lion city".

Students must take 9 AU credits for 13.5 UniSA units or 12 AU credits for 18 UniSA units.

All UniSA students are exempt from having to provide evidence of English proficiency.

Nanyang Technological University does not offer airport pick up. You will need to make your own way to the campus from Changi International Airport.

Nanyang Technological University guarantees on-campus accommodation as long as the online housing application is submitted before the stipulated deadline. You will be randomly allocated a room and room-mate. Specific requests are not guaranteed and will be evaluated on a case by case basis. More information on accommodation can be found here.  
 
If unsuccessful, The Office of Housing & Auxiliary Services will email all unsuccessful applicants the list of off-campus housing options upon releasing the on-campus housing allocation results. Students seeking off-campus housing should begin their search soonest possible. Estates near NTU includes Boon Lay, Jurong West and Jurong East.

As an exchange partner with the University of South Australia, you do not have to pay tuition fees to Nanyang Technological University, instead you will pay tuition as you would normally at UniSA.
