Award winning graduate in environmental engineering

Congratulations to Jeet Bahadur Chand

We are proud to announce that a graduate from the University of South Australia’s Division of Information Technology, Engineering and the Environment has been awarded the Outstanding Young Australian Alumni Award 2014 in the Austrade Australian Alumni Excellence Awards in Nepal.

Jeet Bahadur Chand graduated from the Master of Water Resources Management in 2012, and is working as an Agricultural Engineer in the Nepal Government Ministry of Agriculture Development. As a recipient of an AusAID scholarship, Jeet is now a life member of the Australian Alumni of Nepalese Association and has been serving as a volunteer for AusAID.

Students interested in studying in the field of water resource management are encouraged to consider the Master of Engineering (Civil and Environmental) (LMCV). This program equips graduates with the ability to apply and synthesise water and environmental engineering theories in solving practical cases and to create and design models to be used in areas such as water resources and quality management. We also offer the Master of Environmental Management & Sustainability (Water Management) (LMES) for students and professionals from a non-engineering background.
