HUMAN RIGHTS DAY
10 DECEMBER 2021

UN Human Rights Day is observed every year on 10 December — the day the United Nations General Assembly adopted, in 1948, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). This year’s Human Rights Day theme relates to 'Equality' and Article 1 of the UDHR – “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.” More Information

The Hawke Centre have presented many events with a Human Rights focus, including the 2019 Amnesty International Oration delivered by Amnesty International's Secretary General, Kumi Naidoo The lecture discussed human rights in a time of intolerance and hate.
