PLEASE NOTE DATE HAS BEEN RESCHEULDED

Most comets appear green in photos. That's not rare at all, however, not many pass as close to the sun as this one has, so it's green colour is exceptional.  The green comes from the solar wind reacting with diatomic carbon molecules (two-atom carbon molecules) in the comets core.

We will have telescope viewing on both the rooftop of the Planetarium builidng (P builiding) and lawn area.

*Please note the Planetarium will not be open for sessions on this night*

Time: Telescope viewing from 9pm

Location: UniSA Mawson Lakes lawn area next to the Planetarium and rooftop of the P building.

*weather permitting - we will announce on our website and Facebook page if the event is cancelled*
