The University of South Australia Alumni Association of Malaysia began in 2000 and currently has 400 members.
The chapter objectives are:
- Foster close ties amongst the members through social interaction;
- Foster closer relations between the University of South Australia and members of the public;
- Promote the University of South Australia;
- Act as a link between the members, the University of South Australia and members of the public;
- Promote and conduct activities amongst the members of the Association and to accept any contributions, donations, or any other form of payments, for the purposes of the attainment of the objects of the Association;
- Encourage social interaction amongst other legally constituted associations of like mind.
Key activities of the chapter include: Annual Alumni Reunion Dinner; Annual Bowling Tournament; Family excursions to local tourism attractions; and Go-Kart endurance competition.
