About Malaysia Alumni Chapter

The University of South Australia Alumni Association of Malaysia began in 2000 and currently has 400 members. Membership provides graduates of the University of South Australia (UniSA) living in Malaysia a platform to share information and foster ties with industry professionals and fellow graduates.

Mission and Vision

The aims and objectives of the Association are as follows:

  • Foster close ties amongst the members through social interaction
  • Foster closer relations between the University of South Australia and members of the public
  • Promote the University of South Australia
  • Act as a link between the members, the University of South Australia and members of the public
  • Promote and conduct activities amongst the members of the Association and to accept any contributions, donations, or any other form of payments, for the purposes of the attainment of the objects of the Association
  • Encourage social interaction amongst other legally constituted associations of like mind.

To date, the University of South Australia Alumni Association of Malaysia has organised and participated in various activities to support the mission of the Association. Regular activities include: Annual Alumni Reunion Dinner; Annual Bowling Tournament; Family excursions to local tourism attractions; and Go-Kart endurance competition.

Meet the President of UniSA's Malaysia Chapter

Dr Ooi Kok Kee Dr Ooi Kok Kee

Dr Ooi joined UniSA Malaysia Alumni Chapter in 2010 and served as a committee member since 2011 and in between he held the position as Vice President for three terms until 2018 before he was elected to be the President in March 2019.

He graduated with a DBA from University of South Australia in 2006 and has served the private sectors under different portfolios until subsequently recruited to become a senior lecturer in HELP University since 2012.

To become a life-time member, please complete the membership form and arrange payment of the membership admission fee of RM50.00. Applications will be processed after payment of the membership application fee is received.
