Eligibility

Current and prospective domestic students can apply for the UniSA Elite Athlete & Performing Artist Program if they meet one or more of the criteria below:

Elite athletes

Athletes must be must be identified or recognised by at least one of the following criteria:

  • Registered with one of the following organisations:
    • Australian Institute of Sport
    • State Institutes or Academies of Sport
    • AFL Players' Association
    • Australian Cricketers' Association
    • Rugby Union Players' Association
    • Rugby League Professionals' Association
    • Australian Professional Footballers' Association
    • Australian Basketballers Alliance
    • National squad members from Sports Australia funded sports
  • Participating as an athlete or coach at a State or National level with a sporting organisation recognised by the Australian Sports Commission*. Details of recognised sporting organisations can be found here. 
    *If your organisation is not listed you can submit an application for consideration along with supporting documentation from your sporting body.

  • Senior/head coaches from state and territory institutes/academies of sport, national teams from Sport Australia funded sports or participating professional sports may apply to register under the program.

Elite performer

An elite performer is defined as a person who participates in significant state, national or international performances, productions, installations competitions or events. Registration is subject to the Director SAS's discretion. 

We support individuals from a wide range of sporting and artistic disciplines. If you’re unsure if your level or discipline would be eligible for the EAPP we still encourage you to lodge an application, along with the required supporting documentation.
