To study the effects of mental training for skilled performance

You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • Healthy and aged between 18 -35 years of age andright-handed from birth
  • Must speak English as your 1stlanguage or understand at a high level
  • Do NOT haveor had any neurological conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Stroke, Physical Brain injuries, Seizures or previous concussion/coma
  • Have NOT in the past or currently diagnosed with a psychiatric disease or mental health disorders
  • Have NOT participated in any previous motor learning experiments
  • Have NOT been unconscious for a period greater than five minutes
  • Do NOT have any known intellectual or learning disabilities
  • Do NOT have any sleeping problems
  • Do nothave blindness or vision difficulties which cannot be corrected by the use of glasses

Participation involves:

  • 4 laboratory sessions (1.5-2.5 hours each)at The University of South Australia, Magill campus
  • Must be willingto have non-invasive EEG caps and electrodes attached to your head to record brain signals
  • Must be willing to practice 21 days of cognitive training for 30 mins a dayand short reporting via internet

You will receive $50 at the completion of the study.
