2016 School of Engineering Final Year Project Conference

UniSA’s School of Engineering held their Final Year Project Conference 2016 on the 7th October, for their undergraduate engineering programs. After an unexpected reschedule, as the original conference was to be held on the day of the state-wide blackout in SA, 70 final year project students and staff participated in this conference in which students showcased their work.

After a short welcome by Professor Javaan Chahl, the course coordinator of final year projects, the students moved to their breakout venues which were separated into the six different areas of engineering research: mechanical, electronics, aerospace, medical, robotics, agriculture and energy.

Chaired by academic staff and external supervisors, the students were assessed on their project presentation and received feedback from supervisors as well as other external parties. The final year showcase offers students the opportunity to have exposure to many other different technical fields as well as networking among other staff and student.
