ITEE PhD Student Speaks at TEDx Adelaide WomenMarch 06 2013
UniSA PhD student Carla Daunton, a scholarship holder at the Mawson Institute, has dedicated her studies to solving the problem of chronic injuries. Her research into chronic wounds is looking at developing a diagnostic test that could save the Australian economy millions of dollars every year. In 2012, Carla won the UniSA Three Minute Thesis competition, a research communication competition that challenges Higher Degree Research students to present a compelling oration on their thesis and its significance in just three minutes in language appropriate to a non-specialist audience. She also represented UniSA in the Trans-Tasman Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition in 2012.
TEDx is a program of independently organised local events with live speakers designed to spread ideas and spark discussions amongst communities, organisations and individuals. Watch Carla speak about her research the TEDx Adelaide Women.
