ANZAC Day at the Samstag Museum of Art

Thursday 25 April, 2pm until late

Samstag Museum of Art launches two major exhibitions from the Australian War Memorial, For Country, for Nation and Reality in flames: modern Australian art and the Second World War, with an afternoon of conversation, performance, food and music.

This program invites audiences to reflect on the First Nations experience during wartime and peace, both on home soil and abroad with performance by the Unbound Collective and a unique culinary experience by artist James Tylor. Click here for details.

James Tylor in conversation

Join Joanna Kitto, Associate Curator and artist James Tylor as we tour Australian War Memorial exhibition, For Country, for Nation.

Who holds the power of narration?

Tuesday 26 March, 5.30pm — 6.30pm

Gillian Brown, Curator and Joanna Kitto, Associate Curator look at the ways the artists of the Adelaide//International represent histories of migration and the impact of cultural exchange on communities and individuals. They examine the cognitive spaces Brook Andrew, Eugenia Lim, Lisa Reihana, and Ming Wong have created as exhibition makers, and the stories told through their works.
