Entry requirements

Entry into the program requires a three-year undergraduate qualification or at least five years of professional communication experience. For international students,  an IELTS score of 6.5 or above (or equivalent) will be required

How much time will I need each week?   

The certificate is completely online over a 10-week period. Allow seven to eight hours per week for each course to read material, participate in activities, research and complete assignments. The full program is therefore expected to require 14-16 hours per week of your time. Completion of final assignments may extend beyond the 10-week period.

Can I do one course at a time?   

Yes. The program is designed to allow students to complete the two courses in the same 10-week period, however each course can be undertaken individually if required. The courses are offered together in the July - October period, however in 2017 we are offering an additional intake in the Social Media Management course in April for those who want to make a headstart in the program.

Can I withdraw from the program at any time?   

Yes. Course fees will be reimbursed if a student withdraws (via email to prior to the end of the first week after the start date of the program. For Intake 2, this would be by 20 February 2017. For Intake 3, this would be the 17 July 2017. There will be no reimbursement of costs for withdrawals following that date. Registration cancellation fees will apply. Please refer to the Terms and Conditions at the end of the registration form (Conference Online).

Is this course suitable for senior communication professionals?   

Yes. Senior communication managers, who were qualified before the evolution of online communication, and now have a responsibility for managing digital media stage, would benefit from this program.

How much contact will I have with the teaching staff and my fellow students?   

You will be able to connect with the teaching staff and fellow students on a regular basis through online teaching platforms and social media. You are encouraged to network extensively, share your ideas and offer feedback on other students’ work. While some opportunities will be offered to engage in real-time, you will not be tied down to any compulsory schedule.
