Areas of Interest:
Water law, especially water trading, water markets, corporatisation of Australian water utilities and corporate social responsibility, COAG reforms, water reuse, water quality regulatory models, floodplain management and dam safety policies, business law, corporate governance, whistleblowers, and director's duties.
Comparative regulatory frameworks for water law and water sharing in India funded by Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and water privatisation
Jennifer has published widely in the area of water policy and law and is an experienced PhD supervisor and examiner with seven completed and seven current students.
Jennifer is a member of the editorial board of Water International and is the Asia Pacific coordinator for the International Water Law Association. Jennifer has been elected by the Australian Branch of the International Law Association to serve on the International Law on Sustainable Development Committee of the International Law Association. Jennifer also convenes the Water Management Law and Policy Interest Group for the Australian Water Association.
Jennifer engages in collaborative research with Federal and State government agencies in Australia and makes water law reform suggestions. She is the Coordinator of the Water Management Interest Group for the Australian Water Association.
