Top awards for high profile alumni
Two UniSA graduates have been awarded prestigious honors in their
field this quarter.
Former Chancellor and graduate in engineering from UniSA's antecedent,
the SA Institute of Technology, David Klingberg AO was named Australian
Professional Engineer of the Year for 2008.
Klingberg was recognised for a lifetime of achievement in the profession
and the community and was presented with this prestigious award by the
National President of Engineers Australia, Air Vice Marshall Julie
Hammer in the Great Hall of Parliament House.
And at the Australian Institute of Building 2008 Professional Excellence
in Building Awards, UniSA graduate Mark Maxted, took out the top
national award in the category of residential projects from $50 million
to $100 million for his development Place on Brougham. Maxted graduated
from UniSA with a Bachelor of Building in 1996 and is employed at
Baulderstone Hornibrook (SA).
