New options for Indigenous workers

SIGNING OFF: (l to r) Pippa Webb, Deputy State Manager, DEWR; Prof Peter Buckskin, Dean and Head of the David Unaipon College of Indigenous Education and Research; and Prof Hilary Winchester, Pro Vice Chancellor, Organisational Strategy and ChangeUniSA hopes to welcome 12 new Indigenous staff members over the next 15 months as part of a memorandum of understanding with the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR).

UniSA will participate in DEWR’s Corporate Leaders for Indigenous Employment project and the Structured Training and Employment project (STEP).The goal is to employ one apprentice, six professional and/or academic staff and five trainees.

The partnership with DEWR will strengthen employment and career development opportunities for Indigenous Australians at UniSA.
