Upload file to content object
To upload a file such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel or PDF to a content object (Web site) you need to:
- Go to the live Web site view.
- Click Change at the bottom of the navigation frame.
The Edit content object screen will open.

Click Edit structure as indicated by the arrow in the image above. The Edit structure screen will open to display the current content of your Web site.

- Click the Add object button as indicated by the arrow in the image above.
Note: If uploading files to a Folder, click the Expand button under the folder to show the Add object button for that folder.
The Add new object window will open, as show in the image below.

- Click the radio button on the left of Upload files, as indicated by the arrow in the image above.
The Upload files window will open as shown in the image below.

- Click the Browse button as indicated by the arrow in the image above.
The Choose file window will open as shown in the image below.

- Navigate through your directory structure to the file you want to upload.
- Double-click the file name (or click the file name and click Open).
Note: The file name of the file you are uploading should not contain any of the characters ! “ # & * / . , : ; < = > ? \ ^ ` | . If it does, rename the file prior to uploading or Web site malfunction may result.
The Upload files window will refresh and the file you are uploading will appear in the text box next to the Browse button.
To upload additional files:
- Click the next browse button and repeat the process described above.
When you have browsed and selected all the files you want to upload (maximum of 5 files at a time):
- Click Save
The Upload progress screen (shown in the image below) will open and the status bar progress will indicate the rate at which your files are uploading.

The Content object screen will refresh and the uploaded files will be visible in the Edit Structure screen.
- Click Preview to view and test that the uploaded files are functioning correctly.
