Create a student email list
The following instructions can be used to create a student email list that can be uploaded to Turnitin.
Step 1 - Create Excel spreadsheet
- Open UniSAinfo Students
- Create a student course list as Excel output.
Note: Save the spreadsheet and then open it. - Delete all columns except Network User Name, First Name and Surname.
Step 2 - Transfer text to Word
- Open a new Word document.
- Copy the Network User Name column from Excel and Paste Special as "unformatted" text into Word.
- Highlight all the Network User Names.
- Select Edit > Replace.

- Type ^p in the Find what: field
- Type @students.unisa.edu.au^p in the Replace with: field.
- Click Replace All.
- Select No when prompted if you want to search from the beginning of the document, as indicated in the image below.

- Close the Find and Replace window.
@students.unisa.edu.au has been added to the end of the Network User Names.
- Select all text (Ctrl + A)
- Select Table > Convert > Text to table.

- Set Number of columns to 1
- Click OK.
The text has been converted to a one-column table.
- Highlight and copy the column
Step 3 - Edit Excel spreadsheet
- Highlight the Network Username column.
- Paste Special (Edit > Paste Special > Text) the copied Word column.
- Click OK when the following prompt opens.

- Rearrange the columns in the the order of; First Name, Surname, Email address.
- Save the edited spreadsheet.
The spreadsheet can be uploaded into Turnitin to create a class list.
