Set discussion security for individual staff

Note: Unlike most UniSAnet Web sites that are open to all continuing UniSA staff - all staff (including tutors as well as other continuing teaching staff) that require access to a discussion need to be individually added to the security for that discussion.

To set security for individual staff such as tutors:

Searching for users or groups window

  1. Click Users.
  2. Click Staff.
  3. Click Next.

  1. Enter the staff name in the Enter some key words to search for text box
  2. Click Search.

The search result will display:

  1. Click the staff member's username.
  2. Click Insert.
  3. Click Done.

The Search window will close, and the View by resource window will reappear showing the newly added staff member.

  1. From the Role drop down menu select "Instructor".
  2. Click Save.

The newly added staff member would now have access to the discussion.
