Create network place for delivery area

You will use the Add network place Wizard to create a network place (ie shortcut to a network location) for your course delivery area on the UniSAnet server, which contains your content object (Web site). To open the wizard:

  1. Enter the following network address, which is the location of your course delivery area on the UniSAnet server: http://www.unisanet.unisa.edu.au/resources/123456

Note: Replace the last six digits with your course Course ID. The Course ID can be found on the course home page. Leave off the first of the six digits if it is a '0', otherwise the add network place action will fail.

  1. Click Next. The log on window will open.

Enter Network Place name

  1. Enter a name for the network place. This should be something that is meaningful to you and will help you to identify the network place, eg 'Nursing Context 5 Web site'.
  2. Click Next and the following window will open.

  1. Uncheck the Open this network place when I click Finish check box.
  2. Click Finish.

Your newly created network place will be added to the list of network places.

The delivery area will contain a folder for each content object (Web site) that you have created. In the example below, the content object is called "Online learning resources".

Note: By default, every course delivery area contains a _private and images folder, as shown above. Do not delete these folders.
