Upload lecture audio recording

You will need to check that your school has a digital recorder.

You can then record your lecture, transfer it to your desktop and complete the following steps.

Step 1 - Rename audio file

The file name will appear in your student's podcast or RSS feed list, so meaningful file names are important. Note that you must not use the “&” character in the file name as it will cause the RSS feed to fail for some or all of the files in the feed list.  Please name the files with the following information, separated by a dash and with no spaces:

For example: 2009-SP2-Lecture-01.mp3 or for multiple parts 2009-SP2-Lecture-01-part-1.mp3
Note:
The podcast and RSS feed screens order alphanumerically, so lectures need to be numbered 01, 02, 03.......10, 11 etc

It is not necessary to include your course Area Code and Catalogue Number. The Podcast Folder will identify the course.

Step 2 - Deposit files

Drag and drop the audio file from your desktop into the drop-box Favorite that your Online Adviser created.

Step 3 - Complete the Audio file conversion request

Complete the Audio file conversion request. The recording will be processed and converted to MP3 format. The files will then be uploaded by the Online Education Support team to your course website.

Note: Some students may be unable to access podcasts as a result of disability. Students who require a transcript of podcast material as a result of disability should contact the UniSA disability service. disability@unisa.edu.au

Please contact the Disability Service at Learning Connection if you have any queries regarding these services for students.
