Add Chat
Once a chat has been created, it can be added to your content object (Web site).
Go to the content object screen (if you are viewing the live Web site view, click Change at the bottom of the navigation frame).
- Click the Edit structure link as indicated by the arrow in the image below:
The Edit structure screen will open.
- Click the Add object button as indicated by the arrow in the image above.
The Add new or existing object window will open as shown below.
- Click the radio button on the left of Chat.
- Click Next.
The Select an existing Chat screen will appear, listing all the Chats that have been created within the delivery area for your course.
- Click the Select check box for the new Chat that you want to add to your course Web site.
- Click Save.
The Edit structure screen will refresh, showing that the Chat has been added to your Web site, as shown in the image below:
- Click Save at the bottom of the screen, as indicated by the arrow in the image above.
Go to Preview to check that the chat has been added correctly.
Before your students can access the new chat you will need to set security.
