Only registered currently employed University of South Australia staff members are permitted to access UniSAinfo.
How can I access UniSAinfo?
You need three things to access UniSAinfo:
- Access to a computer that is on the internet or the University of South Australia's intranet.
- A suitable web browser:
- A UniSAinfo (Staff Section) or UniSA Network (Student Section) account.
Click on the links to apply for access to the
Staff Section or the
Student
Section.
When can I access UniSAinfo?
UniSAinfo is available for over 23 hours every day. At around 1:00am
each morning, UniSAinfo is unavailable for less than an hour, while it
is being backed up.
How secure is UniSAinfo?
- UniSAinfo can only be accessed by a registered user using a UniSAinfo username and password.
- The UniSAinfo Staff Section uses Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) security.
To "log out" of UniSAinfo, you must close all open web browsers on your computer.
How do I get a list of classes for a course?
- On the blue navigation frame, click on Courses/Classes. On the first Course Query screen, press the Continue button. (By default, all current course records will be selected. If you require course records into the future or in the past, you will need to change the Start Date and/or End Date).
- On the second Course Query screen, either enter a Subject Area/Catalog Number or enter a Course Id, and press the Find button.
- On the Course Query Result screen, click on Class.
- On the Class Query screen, select the Term and press the Continue
button.
The Class Timetable screen is displayed which lists all classes in the selected course.
How do I get a list of external students for a course?
- Follow the instructions: How do I get a list of classes for a course?
- On the Class Timetable screen, an external class has a Location/Map value of "External". Write down the Class Number of this class.
- On the blue navigation frame, click on Student Class List.
- On the first Student Class Query screen, enter the Career and Term and press the Continue button.
- On the second Student Class Query screen, enter the Class Number you wrote down in step 1 and click on the Find button.
- The Student Class Query Result screen is displayed which lists student class enrolment records for the selected external class.
How do I get all student class lists for a course into Excel?
- On the blue navigation frame, click on Student Class List.
- On the first Student Class Query screen, enter the Career and Term and press the Continue button.
- On the second Student Class Query screen, enter a Subject Area/Catalog Number, change the value in the Output box to either "Excel" or "Excel (Extra Fields)" (contains student contact details) and press the Find button.
- The Excel worksheet will appear in a new window. Note that this can take some minutes to complete. If you are using Internet Explorer, you will need to save the Excel worksheet as an Excel workbook and then open this saved Excel workbook within Excel, in order to have all Excel functionality available to you.
- The Student Course List or Student Class List returns no records or does not include all records. Why?
- If only some records are returned, the course/class may be offered in more than one career. In this situation, you will need to call a separate Student Course List/Student Class List, for each career. eg Calling a Student Course List using (1) Career = Undergraduate and (2) Career = Postgraduate.
- If no records are returned, make sure you have entered the correct career. The default is Undergraduate. Other careers available include Postgraduate, Non Standard and Historical Courses.
- Recently entered enrolment records on Medici may not have yet been copied to UniSAinfo. Normally, UniSAinfo is refreshed with Medici data on a nightly basis. The UniSAinfo home page informs users if there are delays in refreshing UniSAinfo.
- The Student Program List returns no records or does not include all records. Why?
- If no records are returned, make sure you have entered the correct career. The default is Undergraduate. Other careers available include Postgraduate, Non Standard and Historical Courses.
