Visiting Professor from China
Dr Yingfeng Yu is here with the TSC for 6 months on a 'Jiangsu Government Scholarship for Overseas Studies'. The research topic is Logistics related issues, i.e. Logistics processes under WTO framework. It may involve the review of current practices in China and the developed countries. Dr Yingfeng Yu commenced in April 06.
Visit by Professor SL Dhingra and Professor KV Krishna Rao 2 -9 Oct 05
To further foster our international research collaboration with the Indian Institutes of Technology, Professors S L Dhingra and KV Krishna Rao from the Transportation Engineering Section of the Civil Engineering Department at, IIT-Bombay. were invited to visit the TSC by Professor Michael Taylor and Professor Ian Davey (PVC- Research). During the visit the TSC coordinated a number of meetings with key staff in the Division of IEE to discuss current research projects and explore mutual interests between the two universities. As part of the program Professor Dhingra presented a lecture to our coursework Masters students at the City East Campus on 'Sustainable Integrated Urban Multimodal Mass Transit Planning'. Several of the students were from India . Professor Krishna Rao also presented a lunchtime research seminar on 'Master Planning for Mumbai Metro' .
