Welcome to ISST - Transport Systems
ISST - Transport Systems (and its predecessor organisation, the Transport Systems Centre) was one of the first two "University Funded Centres" to be established within the University of South Australia in 1992, and is the pre-eminent centre within the University for research, post graduate education and professional training in transport systems and logistics.
ISST - Transport Systems is an international centre of excellence in transport and logistics offering:
- Education at the undergraduate and postgraduate level
- Training through specialist courses tailored to users needs
- Research and development
- Consulting and expert advisory services
Our research activities include:
- Transport planning and Policy
- Travel demand modelling
- Logistics
- Sustainable transport
- Energy and environmental impacts of transport
- Intelligent transport systems
- Spatial information technology; and
- Road safety
