Centre for Tourism and Leisure Management
The Centre for Tourism & Leisure Management (CT&LM) was established in 2006. It is located in the School of Management, University of South Australia. The Centre has four key research themes that encompass the range of research activities of the core members of the Centre.
Each theme or program is considered to reflect a major research strength of the centre. Each key theme has a team leader (see centre membership).
They are:
- understanding the tourist and leisure experience (G Brown)
- operational performance in tourism and leisure management (G Crilley)
- service quality and satisfaction in sport, leisure and tourism (G Howat)
- lifestyle, health and leisure (D Murray)
Another major research program to the Centre for Tourism & Leisure Management is the CERM Performance Indicators® Project. The CERM PI project has been established since 1990 with a role in facilitating quality management in the leisure industries. CERM PI and industry partners have developed protocols for reliable data collection and have compiled suite of performance indicators for operational performance, customer service quality and appropriateness of services.
