The University of South Australia has for a number of years maintained an internal competitive grants scheme to foster improvements in teaching and learning.
University Learning and Teaching grants 2008
The 2008 round of University Learning and Teaching Grants opens 2 June.

Australian Learning and Teaching Council (formerly Carrick) grants
The University also participates in the national competitive teaching grant schemes administered by the Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC).

The University is committed to assisting staff to develop competitive applications for the ALTC Grants Scheme.
Staff intending to apply to the ALTC in 2009 for either the Leadership for Excellence in Learning and Teaching Program, or the Priority Projects Program should first submit a short, Preliminary Expression of Interest, by no later than 31 October 2008.
Staff interested in the 2009 Competitive Grants Program should note that applications must be lodged for internal review by 10 October 2008 for endorsement by the DVC: Academic, prior to lodgement with the ALTC. If intending to apply for the 2009 Competitive Grants, please contact Dr Peter Hill (8302 6460) by no later than 31 July 2008.
All ALTC grant applications are subject to an internal review process and require University endorsement. Accordingly, applications, whether full proposals or Expressions of Interest, are required to be submitted for internal review by the dates announced annually. (2008 ALTC grants rounds are now closed to new applicants).
