In 2009 the Australian Learning and Teaching Council conferred 24 awards for teaching excellence as part of the Australian Awards for Australian University Teaching. The Award is a national accolade that celebrates a group of the nation's most outstanding teachers in their field. The Award gives recognition to teachers (individuals and teams) who have outstanding presentation skills and who have made a broad and deep contribution to enhancing the quality of learning and teaching in higher education.
