Career highlights: Second place in the 2007 World Championships
(under 23)
Ambitions for 2008: To try to secure a contract with a professional
team and it would be great to win the National Under 23 Road Title – but a
place in a professional team is my real focus
Tour Down Under appearances: Third time in the tour – I’ve ridden for
United Water and South Australia.com, so I know the conditions
How do you prepare for the Tour? I do a lot of kilometres. I
supplement the distance work with motor pacing as well
What do you hope to achieve in the Tour? Of course I’d love to win a
stage but cycling is so much a team sport I will be really happy to perform
well in a domestic (supporting) role – if the team needs to get behind
someone to secure a great result or support a winning position, I’ll give it
all I’ve got
Someone you look up to: Fellow Tasmanian Karl Menzies, he’s a
talented rider, very strong and a great guy too
Favourite music: A lot of what JJJ plays – Kings of Leon, the Kaiser
Chiefs – less mainstream more alternative music

Boys II, Chopper and Two Hands
Favourite food: Pizza – all kinds
